I’ve been on my own holistic health journey for the past five years; everyday I’m learning how to improve my mind, body, and spirit through scientific articles, documentaries, debates, other blogs, podcast interviews, other podcasts, videos, etc. From my search for information, I’ve come across numerous products that support my efforts to improve each area of my life. Today, I’ll share with you 6 essential items you need to support holistic health.

Essential #1: Five Minute Journal

A strong, curious, resilient mind is one of the most important things you can have on your holistic health journey. It will keep you disciplined, open to new ideas, and help you to show up better in every area of your life. The Five Minute Journal was the first thing I received when I started my health transformation. It allowed me to track my progress, work on my mindset, and really just become a better human overall.

The Five Minute Journal is such an easy thing to start because it literally only takes five minutes to do in the morning and at night. You can choose any kind of journal you want, but this journal receives my highest recommendation. Without it, I might not have created the mental strength it took to endure the radical changes I made in my diet and lifestyle.

Essential #2: Berkey Water Filter

Have you ever thought about the quality of the water you are drinking? I hope so, because it is no longer safe to assume your drinking water doesn’t contain harmful toxins. The Environmental Working Group has a comprehensive tap water database where you can enter your zip-code and see a list of toxins in your water that I highly recommend. Once I found out what was in my water supply (and many others) I switched to bottled Fiji water thinking it was the best way to get clean water. That was expensive and I was going through a ton of plastic even when I reused the bottles.

Chiropractic care might be the single most important thing you invest in on your holistic health journey. No matter how clean you eat, no matter how much you exercise, no matter how many supplements you take, no matter how much you do, if your spine isn’t in proper alignment those efforts won’t produce optimal results. Your spine houses your nervous system and sends signals to every area of your body. It is so incredibly important you take care of it.
